Pharmacist, nutritionist and cosmetic chemist, Ben Fuchs shared alternative health concepts, and offered tips on supplements and healthy changes to one's diet and lifestyle. For someone recovering from a quadruple bypass, he recommended taking electrolyte minerals (such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium)-- many people are deficient in these minerals because of a diet heavy in processed foods. Natural sources for electrolytes include vegetable juices such as celery, which are also great for overall heart health, he stated. Speaking of diseases like Parkinson's, he said "there's a major connection between gut microbes...and brain health," and many degenerative disorders originate with "leaky gut" toxicities getting into the bloodstream.

Regarding the problem of environmental sensitivities or 'sick building syndrome,' he noted that those who have this condition should be particularly careful about their diet (avoiding processed foods). Eating sprouts and food high in chlorophyll can help detoxify the system, he suggested, as well as supplements like glutathione, NAC, selenium, MSM, and Vitamin C. For a diagnosis of scoliosis (curvature of the spine), he advised trying an inversion device (hanging upside down), and building up cartilage and connective tissue.
