Estrogen is important stuff, but it's very potent. It's a growth substance that activates cell division, particularly for making babies. While it has a reputation for keeping women youthful and feminine, in reality, the stimulating properties not only turn on tissue growth, but also inflammation and the immune system. It induces fluid movement and cellular swelling. It can also activate blood clots, blood vessel spasms and migraine headaches. Elevated estrogen is also associated with fibroids, cysts and endometriosis, as well as weight gain and even cancer. Estrogen buildup can result in PMS and other menstrual issues.

These conditions are made worse by the accumulation of extra potent catechol, estrogens which are intermediate byproducts of estrogen breakdown. They show up when there's intestinal sluggishness or impaired gall bladder and liver function.

One of the best ways to detoxify estrogen and reduce the build-up of catecholamines is to support a biological process called glucuronidation, which essentially deactivates the potent female hormone. If you're dealing with any of the aforementioned manifestations of estrogen toxicity, you might want to start using a supplement called Calcium D Glucan, which is available on the internet and in most health food stores. Start off with a dose of 200 milligrams a day and work up to 400 to 600 milligrams a day. If you'd rather get your Glucan from food, it's also found in citrus fruits as well as cruciferous vegetables like kale and brussel sprouts.
